Beginning of week three and day eleven (though counting days nine and ten are questionable).  Just finished morning walk-through with supervisor to review planned work for the day.  Plumbers will be installing supply and drain lines for the new laundry.  Thankfully, we talked about which side the washer and dryer would be positioned as the architect's plan shows the washing machine on the right and the dryer on the left.  A minor detail that you would think wouldn't really matter.  Unfortunately, this would leave us with opposing doors on the front-loading machines.  Not good.  We both verbally and physically agreed to the change which made the plumbers happy as it simplifies their installation.

Demolition has started on the plywood walls in the mud room as well as the half-wall railing and linoleum flooring.

Framing of the apartment shower will also be completed today since the plumbers need to start their rough-in work which will tie the drain for the apartment shower, apartment bathroom and new laundry room together.

Out most of the afternoon but came home to a great deal of progress on several fronts.

Demolition included the back wall in the new laundry room as well as the plywood wall in the mud room (which had cardboard for insulation).

Construction included framing of the apartment shower and closing the doorway from the second floor laundry into the fourth bedroom .  The plumbers installed the shower, toilet and sink drains in the apartment bath.

Plumbing included work on the drains from the second floor as well as new supply lines.
