It wasn't so much that the insulation crew showed at 6:00 pm to spray insulation into the attic, it was the fact that one of the crew was looking at me from a second story window after I had just returned from a run and nobody from the contractor was on-site.

The story begins with the subs showing up first thing this morning to install insulation in all of the exposed walls.  They did this in no time but then disappeared, apparently to wait for the electricians to finish up in the attic.  Electricians were gone by 4pm but no insulation subs.  When they finally returned, they made themselves at home and decided they were going to finish the job.  Which was fine.  But to have them just let themselves in wasn't.  The contractor got an earful via a phone call.  His explanation was that he didn't know and that their job was mostly babysitting the subs.  Which is fine.  But it's not my job.

Net net.  Insulation is finished with a big "R" factor in the attic that should do us well.  Also considering attic vents as they are sorely lacking.  Think I'll hit up the contractor for a special deal considering today's blunder.

Electricians finished hole-making on the second floor and installed a few new lights.  They still have some outlets to install in the master bedroom and then complete the dining room and first floor family room before moving on to the barn.  The trench and electrical lateral were approved today so it will be filled tomorrow.  The new electrical line will probably get connected on Tuesday (as Monday is Labor Day) assuming the electric company releases the meter.

Hammer-swinger was here for a little while and put brick casing around the mud room windows.  This means the siding crew will be here tomorrow to finish all of the siding.
